The accommodation units "Daniel Castle" (Rooms 1–8) and "Castelul Mic" (Rooms 10–27) are classified as 4-daisy tourist guesthouses (4 margarete), in accordance with Romanian tourism regulations, under Classification Certificates No. 18410/17.10.2017 and No. 22230/13.08.2019.

2. Reservations & Contract Formation

Reservations can be made via:

  • the official website
  • email or phone
  • third-party platforms or travel agencies

A reservation is considered confirmed after payment of the required advance:

  • 30% advance for flexible rate plans
  • 100% advance for non-refundable rate plans
  • Or as otherwise specified for special rate-plans or reservations made through 3rd party platforms
  • Any specific payment terms communicated at the time of booking shall prevail.

By completing a reservation, the guest agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

3. Rates & Payment Terms

All rates displayed on the website are:

  • per room, per night
  • based on double occupancy (2 persons)
  • VAT included

Prices may be displayed in EUR and/or RON. The applicable currency and exchange conditions will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Certain periods may be subject to a minimum length of stay requirement. Where such restrictions apply, they will be communicated during the booking process and form part of the reservation conditions.

Rate plans

1. Non-refundable (Bed & Breakfast)

  • 100% advance payment
  • Non-refundable
  • Spa access available on-site: 75 RON / person / session

2. Flexible rate (Bed & Breakfast + Spa included)

  • A 30% advance payment is required to confirm the reservation.
  • The stay dates can be changed free of charge up to 7 days before arrival, and the already paid advance payment can be reused for the new booking. If the rate for the new period is higher, the price difference will apply.
  • For changes or cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival, the 30% advance payment will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • This rate includes 1 spa session per booked night. A spa session means 2 hours at Cellarium Slow Down Spa, booked according to the spa opening programme. By default, spa sessions are considered for the check-in day and stay-over days, with no included spa session on the check-out day. For late arrivals, the spa session may be moved to the check-out day only if the spa opening programme allows it.
  • Unused spa entries are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Regarding stays that include minimum stay requirements:
  • Date changes requested at least 7 days before arrival are permitted subject to availability.
    • If the new travel dates fall within a period without minimum stay restrictions, the reservation may be adjusted accordingly.
    • If the new travel dates fall within a period where a minimum length of stay requirement applies, the reservation must comply with the applicable minimum stay requirement.
  • Once the stay has commenced, if any date within the reserved stay period is subject to a minimum length of stay requirement, the reservation may not be shortened below the highest minimum stay requirement applicable during that period. If the guest chooses to depart earlier, all nights covered by the applicable minimum stay requirement remain payable in full.

  • A 30% advance payment is required to confirm the reservation.

  • Regarding stays that include minimum stay requirements:

We accept:

  • Card: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron
  • Romanian holiday cards: Up Romania, Pluxee, Edenred
  • Cash (RON)
  • Bank transfer
  • Vouchers

Online payments are securely processed via the EuPlătesc payment platform (euplatesc.ro).

4. Cancellation & Modification Policy

General policy

  • For cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in, the advance payment can be reused for a future stay, subject to availability.
  • For cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in, the advance is fully retained.

Exceptions

Reservations made under special rate plans (e.g. promotions, special offers, non-refundable rates) are subject to their own policies, regardless of cancellation date.

Group reservations with negotiated rates may be subject to individual cancellation terms, as agreed at the time of booking.

5. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: from 15:00
  • Check-out: until 11:00

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and must be confirmed in advance by reception.

Late check-out fee: 50 EUR / room

6. Use of Facilities

Restaurant

Opening hours:

  • Breakfast: 08:00 – 10:30
  • À la carte: 13:30 – 22:00
  • Last order: 21:30

Additional policies:

  • The consumption of beverages not purchased on the property is not permitted in the restaurant. In case of any expressly agreed exception, a corkage fee will apply.
  • In special cases, food from external sources may be permitted only if pre-approved by the property and accompanied by appropriate certification (e.g., birthday or wedding cake). The property reserves the right to refuse such items if they do not meet safety or quality standards. A handling/serving fee may apply. The property assumes no liability for externally sourced food.

Spa – Cellarium Slow Down Spa

  • Prior reservation is required
  • Access is granted in 2-hour sessions
  • Access is subject to availability
  • Sessions are shared

All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Private spa sessions are available upon request.

7. Children & Extra Guests Policy

Rates are based on double occupancy (2 adults).

Children:

  • Children under 6 years stay free when sharing the bed with parents (no extra bed)

Extra beds:

  • Children up to 14 years: 25 EUR / night
  • Adults or children over 14: 40 EUR / night

Maximum occupancy is defined individually for each room.

8. Pet Policy

To maintain the comfort of all guests, pets are generally discouraged.

In exceptional cases, pets are accepted only with prior approval and only in the following rooms:

  • Room 1 – Castle Gate Room
  • Room 4 – Lodging of Olasztelek

Fee: 149 RON / night

Pets are not allowed in the restaurant or indoor common areas.

9. House Rules

Non-smoking policy

All rooms and indoor public areas are strictly non-smoking.

Violation of this rule will result in a cleaning fee of 90 EUR.

Quiet hours

To ensure a peaceful atmosphere for all guests, quiet hours apply after 22:30.

Guest conduct

Guests are expected to:

  • respect other guests
  • maintain a reasonable noise level
  • use the property responsibly

Guests are liable for any damages caused during their stay.

10. Vouchers & Promotions

Gift vouchers and promotional offers are subject to specific conditions.

General rules:

  • Offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated
  • Promotions are not applicable to existing reservations

11. Force Majeure

The resort cannot be held responsible for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters
  • governmental restrictions
  • technical failures

12. Liability

The resort is not responsible for:

  • loss or damage of personal belongings
  • incidents caused by circumstances beyond its control

Guests are responsible for any damages caused to the property.

13. Data Protection (GDPR)

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Romanian law.

Any disputes that fail to reach an amicable or mediated solution will be settled by the competent courts in Romania.
