The castle's former gate, where horse carriages used to enter the domain was walled up in the late 19th century by its proprietors, count Daniel Gabor and his wife Rauber Maria.
Two plaquettes carrying their initials commemorate this building work on the forefront of the room.
The carved stone doorframe placed here however carries the year 1649, and the initials of Daniel Janos, as it has been brought here from the nearby "Bethlen castle".
