In restaurant terminology a table d'hôte menu is a menu where multi-course meals with only a few choices are charged at a fixed total price. Such a menu may also be called prix fixe ("fixed price").

For lunch we propose some light picks of traditional Transylvanian dishes. Soup of the day is usually a delicious Romanian ciorba, or a Transylvanian noodle-soup, followed by a grilled dish or home-made pasta. Don’t miss the traditional pancakes filled with juicy home-made fruit jams.

Historic research revealed that in the 17th century the upper floor of the castle was one huge ballroom, where “weddings used to last whole week long under the supervision of the Daniels”. A Renaissance wedding is also depicted in one of the 17th century wall-paintings inside the castle.

Goulash is best done in a cauldron -try it out with plenty of mulled wine, and a large bonfire to raise the spirits even higher. For desert, aunt Sárika will prepare the most delicious Kürtöskalács (traditional Chimney cake) you’ll ever taste.
